are the ballasts all the same?

i have 9006 hids now.
my friend will give me his ballasts (they were for 9005)
and all i gotta do is buy replacement bulbs (ebay has them for 40 shipped)

can i place 891 bulbs and reuse the ballasts?

as long as they hook up the same and have the same volts as the 9005 bulbs i dont see why not as long as they are 891 hid bulbs that require ballasts !!
thats my opinion of course so i guess its a try and see what happens thing just make sure your housing can handle the voltage and not melt and the wiring as well to it !

well, that i know, all real HIDs require a ballast to ignite the bulb.

so yes, the 891s require a ballasts.

short answer yes you can. As long as the ballast and bulb have the AMP connectors

(the ones on the lower right show it best)
