Raptor Shift Light Install help
There are 2 sets of things where the pcm is(where all the wires go into)
Is it the set closest to the firewall or furthest?
I've heard you use pin 19?
Do you splice into the wire and have both the tach light and the orginal wire go in to the PCM or is it just the tach light wire that replaces it?
Thanks in adavance
Chris
There are a few KEY parts in the write-up. One, the solid pink wires are 12v when the key is on. Every 1999 and up this is true for. Two, use the wire taps as they suggest. I bought a package from Radio Shack for about $2 and they work awesome.
The way I did mine was pull the drivers side A-pillar off and cut a hole in the defrost tube. I ran the wire through the hole in the tube and down the door jam in between the fuse box cover and the door to body seal. From there, I went under the kick panel, under the center console, then behind the panel on the passenger side they tell you to remove to access the grommet. Up through the grommet went all three wires. For the power I used pin #19 on the blue harness. The Tach signal obviously the #10 pin on the red harness. And the ground wire went under the PCM plastic holder and was fastened down by the bolt you removed to get the holder out to start with.
You just wire-tap into the signal wires. You do NOT replace any of the wires to the PCM.
Hope this helps you out!

Do you have a link to the wire tap? I can't find it on radioshack.com
Are the tach wire and power the only wires that go in the pin or do they get tapped into the originals?
Sorry for the newb questions.

The Tach signal and Power wires get tapped.
Just go to Radio Shack and ask them where they are located. Basically, the tap is a plastic enclosure. It has a metal piece inside with two slots. You will put the Tach signal wire you are tapping into, in one of the slots. Then, the corresponding wire from the shift light will go into the other slot. You press the metal with slots down into the plastic case and it will tap the signal wire and in turn connect the two.
