Default 01 Red WS6

I finally got a chance to snap some quick pictures of my 2001 WS6. I sold my 2002 Yellow Z06 Corvette and picked up the WS6 to save some money while I finish college. Its my daily driver so mods will be kept to a minimum for a while. So far it has QTPs, TSP catted Y, GMMGs, Fasttoys tips, Pro 5.0 and some basic appearance mods.
Before anyone says it but I know you all still will...I need to lower the car and change the wheels!

Anyways here are some quick pics, let me know what you guys think of the mods and what possible other things I could do. I do like a subtle look!

And yea so I tried to get a bit creative at the end....

hey man, do you mind telling me how you filled in the pontiac lettering like that? i would like to do something like that rather than those cheesy sticker kits from ebay.

Car looks sweet. I'm not gonna dog you on the rims cause I personally think those are the best factory rims for T/A's. Keep up the great work.

My friend had a well modded red 01 WS6 Trans Am, but he upgraded to a Z06, lol, kind of the opposite of what you just did. Anyway, here is what I suggest.

1. Remove the side molding. Looks like you may have already done it. Its hard for me to tell by the pics.
2. Do the CETA mod in charcoal, as well as the bird on the front license plate cover and the Trans Am emblems on the doors. I see that you have some of this stuff in black, but I've always liked it better in charcoal.
3. Raptor Hood with Charcoal Ram Air stripe.
4. Drop it
5. Chrome C6s
6. Black Calipers with some sort of Trans Am insignia on them.

The chrome fill in letters are the ones off ebay.

I do need to do the calipers! I forgot all about that. The side molding and badging is removed already.

Black c5 z06, going back to the fbody is not as bad as people make it out to be. Yea the z06 handles a lot better but in daily driving situations it doesnt bother me. Now if auto-x or road racing was something I did on a normal basis it would probably be a huge step back. I did get more compliments on the corvette, maybe because it was yellow with pitch black windows, lowered on 18" chrome c6 z06 wheels. It also had full exhaust with borla stingers so it was loud as hell. If you can afford to mod the corvette and keep it up I would definately stick with it. For the mods mine had (full exhaust and a vararam) it pulled like crazy!! I was trapping 118 in the 1/4. However I was scared to break it bc I knew if something broke, I wasnt going to be able to fix it.
With the fbody, I know them like the back of my hand. I can almost tell you every nut and bolt on these cars and probably can give you the size of the bolt and maybe even the tq specs. Im much more comfortable with the fbody!

Nice ride. Where in SC are you located? If you decide to sell those factory rims LMK. I LOVE the 01-02 WS6 wheels.

I have the same exact car and color...just a 00' year! This is what I would do and have done

1) Paint the Brake Caipers Red, and get the silver "Trans Am" Brake calipers decals
2) Baer Eradispeed Rotors
3) Lower car 1 inch with springs of your choice...(G2 or Eibach Pro-Kit)
4) If you have the money...get some rims ( HRE, Fiske, or CCW)

On a side note...I make custom Firebird Decals! I can make some for you if you like. The decals are sooo bada$$ that I get stopped in traffic at least twice a day, from people asking me where I got them! I even popped out my centercaps from the rims...sanded them down, then sprayed them flat black!...after that I applied my custom bird decals to each centercap...then sprayed a coat of clear gloss over the center caps to seal the decals in! It looks amazing to say the least. I will post pics of my car very soon!

If you want me to send you pics of what the decals look like..just send me a message. This goes for all other Bird owners out there.
