I like blue alot its not just the dirt really with the black that bothers me its how easy it scratches. Even using micro fiber it still gets light scratches. Im going to get me some nicer microfiber towels but no matter what im sure it will still scratch. The slightest bit of dust or dirt in a towel will scratch it. So I need an almost scratch proof way to wash which is not possible with black I dont think

As far as washing goes, I use two buckets (one soap, one rinse) and a freshly washed mit along with freshly washed microfibers from Autopia Car Care. I think washing the mit and towels after each car wash is cheap insurance against trapping dirt in them.
The random-orbital polisher helps a lot too. My SS isn't totally free of small swirl-marks but it's pretty close.

The swirls marks arent bad but I can see scratches if I looks close altho most people never see them. I need to do the 2 bucket thing again and get me some better towels. Need to wash my mitt more too.
Ok im looking at buying some extra valve covers tomorrow to paint or polish. Do you guys think I should take the extra time to polish them or paint them red. I would like to have them on by sept the 1st and if I polish them not sure they will be done by then. Specially since I need to order more grease less compound also. If I do decide to paint them what color do you think would look good?
