Default Engine Bay project nearly complete...

Worked all last week on getting my engine bay looking better. Did the wire hide mod, removed the EGR & AIR, relocated the hood latch cable also. Looked alot cleaner. Didn't stop there and painted the radiator support, backs of headlights and the plastic piece connected to the nose, and removed the washer fluid tank. Looks 10x better but shows the areas that need attention 10x as much now. Going to do some polishing tonight, hopefully paint my fender wells tomorrow and get some pics posted.

PS: my hands are skinned up like raw hamburger!!!

Where did you relocate the hood latch cable to? I hate where they are.

Hood latch cable was piece of cake. Just drill a half inch hole up by the base of the windshield. I had to go a little bigger than that actually to fit the end piece through, then thread it through the fender well and back behind the headlight.

I'll finish everything and post pics tonight.

Finally some pics, not the best, but it really turned out well and I'm very pleased. This past Saturday I was parked next to a super clean 2001 TA and even though his engine bay was clean enough to eat off, mine still looked so much better and uncluttered with the wires gone, AIR & EGR gone, ground wires gone, backs of headlights painted, etc.

The car is for sale in the Vehicle Classified section too by the way...

I bought the stainless bolt kit, EGR & AIR blockoff plates awhile ago and they've just been sitting on a shelf in my garage... really wanted to get the car looking good for the Woodward Dream Cruise this past weekend so I could park the car in a good spot with the hood up & for sale sign on it... got 3 calls Saturday, one guy is coming to look at it this week. And if I can't get what I want, I'll keep the car, no biggie. I still really like driving it and love the way it looks.

Thanks for the help with the pic posting!!!

Here's two more pics from your fquick page. How did you like our polished stainless bolt kit?

Steve - I'm glad you jumped in the thread, the bolt kit is SUHWEEET!!! I started installing it about 11pm in the driveway Thursday night and even though my back killed, I was tired, had to get up early, I couldn't stop till I finished. Everything fit perfectly, no problems whatsoever, instructions were very clear. It looks so nice I can't imagine why everyone doesn't get a kit, seriously. Like I said above, my engine bay next to the other guy's at the car show Saturday said it all. People can tell the engine bay is the same, and even though his was very clean, it was no comparison...

Quick update, I've had the car for sale for about a month now and not had much luck. Finally came across the right buyers though this past weekend. They really liked the car and had already looked at some other f-body cars but werent' too impressed. When I popped the hood, that sealed the deal. The guy said that anyone who goes to that much car to keep the underhood clean obviously took good care of the car and gave me cash to hold the car till he picks it up tomorrow, no haggling on the price either. Makes it worthwhile selling it to someone who I know will enjoy it that much.

I'm selling the car because I'm going back to grad school, work full time, no time for the car, taking the money and buying a new condo. Plus I am ready for something else. I've had plenty of fun with the car, ready for something new, either wait & get a new Camaro or a clean used C6 in a year or so.

i would say go with the c6 if your looking just for a toy or the camaro if your just cruising its going to be a while for anything aftermarket to come out for that car
