Default got my hids in!

I have a few ?s about them though, I just installed my hids in my 98 camaro, But I have a ? do your ballasters get hot? Also do the lights go from kinda dim at first to bright as hell, about 3 seconds later? If your ballasters get hot will it not catch a fire? Also do your headlight housings get hot? Mine does, Thanks for any help

alright, im sure you mean "ballasts". do they got hot? probably, im not sure ive never checked mine but its not something i would worry about. i mounted mine to the headlight bracket with double sided tape and the tape stays on and nothing melts or smokes so im sure it cant get too hot.

its is completely normal for the lights to be dim at first then get brighter, thats how they warm up. i wouldnt shut the lights off and then turn them back on multiple times, it can be bad for the ballasts and bulbs.

the housings probably will be a little hot, but HID's actually burn at cooler temps than regular bulbs. so dont worry about your headlights melting. other than that, enjoy.
