Corvette mirrors on firebird - how hard?

I have seen a couple pictures of a T/A that had some corvette side mirrors, and it looked real slick,

unfortunatly i could not find any information on how it was done.

I'm just curious how involved the swap was... anybody done this and can give me an idea?

Basically, you have to make a back-plate/bracket that goes on the inside of the door to mount the mirrors to and then a triangle block off plate for where the stock mirrors are.

Obviously, it's a little more involved than this, but that's just a quick idea.
