Default damn love bugs.

Ok just got my car painted and these little freaks come out and try to screw up my paint. I wash it off everyday but sometimes I don't have time. I don't want to put my bra on it for fear of screwing up the clear coat . anybody has any ideas, it would be appreciated.

I know how you feel though, my wife didn't realize that they did that much damage, needless to say I now need a respray on her Altima's front bumper.

the paint will cure for a while, be careful what product you put on it and make sure you get the insects off with no delay

the painters advice is correct, newly painted panels need to breathe. I was told the same 4-6 weeks of no wax, and if you are going to wax it durin that period, use something with no silicone

I've lived in Florida the last 20 years, and we have those beasts twice a year. This past May was the worst I have ever seen. The only thing I have found is to keep the front end ( and mirrors) Zainoed to the max, and wash the little buggers off ASAP.

You can get the new 3M clear that the dealerships put on the new cars.

Carry some Quick detailer spray and a microfiber towel with you where ever you go. When you stop at your destination clean them off.

Sure, folks might look at you a little funny but its worth it.
