what do you use to place emblems?

what do you use to place emblems? just wondering what products you guys use to place emblems on your car. I am sure most use 3m double sided, please have a link to the product.
I used some exterior house 3M stuff I picked up at Home Depot because it was 1" wide where most of the automotive stuff I found was only 1/2-3/4" wide. I found it in the glue and tape section.
3M also makes an adhesive that is on small strips of paper, you just stick your emblem on the paper and peel it back off and the adhesive stays on the emblem. This is perfect for those emblems that still have the old backing but are no longer sticky.
I dont have a part number but anyone who carries 3M products can look it up for you.

if the backing is still on the emblem this is the best way... IMPO. If your working with emblems like the SS fender emblems this is the only way to properly transfer them without it looking like crap. You cannot use double sided tape on the thin/soft SS emblems.
Double sided tape is difficult to work with on a lot of emblems.
