So next month I have 18 days home to tinker with the Trans Am. I've got some minor bolt ons and appearance mods planned but I really want to change the light scheme from red to blue. I've searched and assembled info on how to do the HVAC panel, light switch, dome light, etc. The only thing I can't figure is how to do the gauge cluster. I like the Macewen silver gauge overlay. And I found the leds (194s) But from what I've read it seems that the birds have a red overlay on the gauge cluster. So is there a way to remove this, or swap out the cluster or is this false, and I can just put the blue/white bulbs in? I really want to get this project done, and I won't have too much time to play with it since I can only deal with the car being down for a few days at most. Anyone else done this? The help will be much appreciated.
The only reason I want to change the color is so the lights on the inside match. I have a capacitor in the back that lights up bright blue.
I found one post of a TA that has this done.
