liteweight ss hood ? does anybody know where i can get a liteweight ss hood around 25lbs.im trying to lose weight off the car.it is a real ss so i want to keep it looking stock.
Carbon Fiber hoods weigh less than 20, and any pin on hood-skin will weigh the least.
But your stock SS hood only weighs like 35... Not the biggest weight loss. Try relocating the battery, removing the washer fluid reservoir, ditch AC, ditch ABS, relocate fuses and ECM... If you want to get serious, remove the hood latch assembly and pin the hood down, pull the struts off of it too.
