get a ws-6 lower air box and then you can fab up a seal simliar to the one used in the bg ram air kit thats no longer sold... i used blue insulation board from lowes and a razor knife to make one for mine it works great

ohhhh. i can see that easily being an improvement my stock lid, but wouldnt the volant be even an improvement over that? Isnt it more of a direct flow?

I have the hood as well as the Volant old air intake!! It is a great setup, they work well together! it blows the lid out of the water (i had an slp for comparison). Air flows from that hood straight to the volant better than the tiny gap below the lid. I don't drive my car in the rain if i have a choice, but i have taken it to wash it multiple times, not once was there rain inside the hood. I have a customized ws6 hood, but it's the same thing, vents leading straight in. IMO water is nothing to worry about. i Have not had a single problem with it, and the combintion flows beautifully! and sounds kickass!!
