i dont think they're originals...the color on the tips looks slightly lighter, and IIRC the bracing is completely different. the OGs had round bracing, not thick/flat braces...looks like a good piece though. ask em for pics of more angles and post em up for evryone.
I've always suspected the same thing, but really who cares if they're originals or not. If they are replica's they look exactly the same. There's quite a bit of people that have bought those tips from that company.
You know... We ALL have opinions... I think the original CME tips look like ****!! That's my opinion, and i wouldn't have them on my car!! I'm with 02SS..
I like the 3 in. aftermarket CME.. running through my 3 in True duals.. You simply CANNOT beat the sound... and i get countless comments on the exhaust set up.. To each his own.. Here is mine..

i'm thinking about going CME when i do the catback instead of the true duals - an advice? I currently dont have the CME opening on my rear bumper, and the first silver one looks like it was built that way, can I but a bumper like that or is it a body kit just filled in and painted over? any tips greatly appreciated, and BTW - i like 'em all!!! Why dont you fellas just kiss and make up?

I have the same tips. I went with them since I was unable to find the original SLP one's. Plus it was not worth it to spend $400 on a pair of used tips. Yes the tips are hard to see but that is only in the shade as seen in the pics. Plus the inside of the tips are painted black so that adds more the look of the tips being hidden. From other angles the tips look good.
