Removing Baffles from WS6 Hood?

Removing Baffles from WS6 Hood? I was browsing around the forum and noticed someone mentioned they took the baffles out of the hood scoope on their hood. Is there any value in doing this or is the risk from getting water in your intake outweigh any benefit. From what I can tell even though the air has to make a few turns going around the baffles before it actually hits the airbox and since the box is already sealed to the hood would it really make that much of a difference?

The LT1 WS6 airbox is sealed to the hood already with the equivalent to weatherstripping...its slightly different than the LS1 WS6 airbox. So my question is...since the hood is sealed to the airbox does it matter if the baffles are still in the hood or is it noticeably better to remove the baffles and risk water getting into the airbox?
