SS Hood

I just put a SS hood on a 2001 z28 (non) ss and the hood wont shut. It seems to hit the air box anbody have a suggestion or a fix?

did you make sure that you did not engage the latch when installing the hood

SS hood

latch was in open position. i took the stock lid of the air box and it closes with no lid.

hmm that seems weird, you have the stock lower air box right? shouldn't matter anyway and are you sure the hood is lined up properly like its not to far back and hitting the air box in the front

As far as I can see yes it lines up with bumper cover. i was just wondering if there were to different airboxes or something? SS and none SS

no the ss and the z28 have the same lower air box, only the ws6 has the higher lower air box

Is it a stock or aftermarket SS hood? My stock SS hood fits my '01 Z without any problem. Some aftermarket SS hoods are designed to work with different (aftermarket) air boxes, maybe thats what you got?
