Default Did whistler mod and now...

I did the whistler mod 3 or 4 weeks ago and now the headlights are a little cloudy.
Would there be a away that i could get ridge of the haziness out of the inside of the headlight without having to re open the headlight?

Try putting it in the oven at a low temperature to evaporate the moisture. Keep the temp low and don't leave them in long enough for the sealant to get real soft. After the headlights are moisture free run a new bead of sealant around the whole perimeter of the headlight. Put a nice bead around and try not to push on it with your finger which can promote pin holes in the sealant.

This may or may not work. Take your time.

I heard you have to drill small holes in the bottom of the headlight housing so that stuff like wont come back and will evaporate....not sure though, do a search, there has been many threads like this one

i thought there were holes in the back of the headlight that help with the evaporation?

There are two small black rubber things that are supposed to let condensation out. When I did the whistler mod on my Camaro I made sure everything was sealed up really good around the perimeter. Stock headlights never fog up with those black plastic vents so the re-sealed whistlers should not once put all back together nice. I know once you break the factory seal it wont be perfect but if you take your time it will come out 99% right. I wouldn't drill any hold in the bottom. Thats asking for more moisture to get in there. That's the last thing you want.
