I dunno of any cops who pull you over for traffic violations that have K-9s. Maybe the dogs could get called in, has to be a good reason...just quadruple wrap it 4x's.

The two halves are held together by a 3-thousandths pressure fit. It holds very well.

The dial next to the console is for my amp in the back oh the car. It controls the amount of bass. And as far as problems with the cap not having anything to hold it there, I can tell you first hand it really has a nice snug fit to it and it takes some effort to remove it.
