actually the stock mat that was on there had the bow tie emblem already on it. it was recessed in on the mat, so i just taped off around it. the taping off was the hardest part...trying to lean in ways that your body isn't suppose to is always fun!
Ah no kidding! I don't have one on my car, but I think the hood was replaced anyway.

My 98 had a hood liner as well.
Also, You can tell in the 2nd pic that I had got a lil overspray.. And becareful with the tapeing due to it will rip the fabric of the liner.
After I had done painted it n' all I ended up falling asleep behind the wheel one night after a BIG dinner.. creamed a mail box.
I ended up gettin a WS6 Hood and noticed that it didnt come with a liner... so I told the guys "hey my old hood had one.. this hood better have one as well!" all in all, my new hood now has one and I need to repaint it

The under hood insulator came on '98 and '99 Z28 cars. It was deleted in '00 and never reappeared. It was not available on any of the fiberglass hooded cars...ie SS, WS6, Firehawk. As for the steel hooded TA and Formulas from '98-'99, I don't know if they got the insulation or not. Anybody know?

thanks for all the compliments guys.
i work at a dealership as a car detailer and detailed my car today b/c we had nothing to do. it looks so good. normally i use spray wax on it b/c it's quick and easy, but today i hand waxed it...WOW, what a difference!! it is so much smoother.
i also clay barred it and xylon (spelling?) it yesterday.
