I also think its ugly, here's why; the gaping hole in the front of the bumper is just too much, and even with an intercooler, or just the stock radiator, it does not look good. As for the spoiler, I think it is ugly as well. I think that kind of spoiler looks better on a Camaro (looks a lot like the spoiler I have on my Z28 in fact), but the Firebirds look better with a longer spoiler that is at a slight angle off the horizon of the car pretty much like the stock Trans Am spoiler.

I like new ideas like this, and I think its great thinking outside the box. I hope more people like the person who started this think of new ideas as well. I just don't think this one is a winner.

I think its cool. I like it. I won't buy it though because I don't like to do drastic changes to MY cars.

Even with all the folks into the "stock" look, it appears that half the folks would buy it and half wouldn't. That's a lot more than I thought it would be.

What gaping hole? It's inset and has a grill. You can't even see through it. Also, you don't have to two tone it. You can paint it a solid color. If we had an differently painted example I think people would see the real potential.

You could get a mesh grill made for it too if the big holes in the front really bother you that much

Hell, he could make the holes smaller if he wants. It's fiberglass so it's not that difficult.

On the pic that shows the bumper on a Firebird already on a dyno (posted on one of the earlier pages) it is a gaping hole clearly showing the cars FMIC. If it has a grill, then it would be better, but still ulgy IMO.

uglyest thing ever. IMO trans ams come looking best from the factory. you cant really do anything body panel wise to make them look any better. they are pure sex straight from GM.

Exactly!

Would I buy it for my CETA? Heck no.

Would I buy it if I had a white hardtop Formula that I wanted to do the white/blue '70 treatment to? HELL YES!

This kit, if made would actually make me think about searching for a white hardtop formula just so I could do this to it.

I say go for it.

Its good to have choices out there for us owners...not everyone will like it, but sometimes things aren't for everyone.

OK, your clearly getting mixed up. Go back to the first post, the white car is called the "Heritage". It has the shaker hood with the blue stripe. That's the one this thread is about.

The black car below has the E-1 bumper.

I posting these 2 pics so people would recognize the owner as already making and selling a front bumper. He also made this front bumper:

It's thread is here:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearance-detailing/833587-opinions-please.html

Remember, we're not asking about these 2 black bumpers, only the white one below.

I've always wanted to duplicate that spoiler. That's probably the one thing I would get not feelin the bumper though.
