You can fit plenty of tire under these cars without cutting open the wheel openings, my previous car on 28" slicks:
The orignal owner was a bodyman and he was running a 15" wide slick in the rear. So he opened the quarter panels alittle to run a huge tire. He did a pretty good job with those quarter panels. Came out really nice. Everything inside is fiberglass. I think it looks better then the factory quarter panels. But those m/t drag radials 315/60/15 tires fit perfect

I'm guessing it was customized in the mid-late 1970s? Back then several cars were hacked for huge tires. Most of them were slow as hell too, didn't even need the tire
I gotta disagree that those look better than factory, mostly because the 69 has some really nice sweeping body lines that come off the top of the fender openings. They make the car look like it is in motion while sitting still. Just like the front fender openings have, so it looks strange with the back ones missing.

nice car.... im not much on the hood but it doesnt look bad..... can ya get some interior shots? id like the see all the fiberglassing, if done right, it looks great on most cars
