Default Pictures of the 69 camaro

Here's a couple pictures of my fathers 1969 camaro that I took over the summer. It has a built 427 big block engine.

Those were flames hand painted from the orignal owner. He did a pretty good job with the whole car. He did allot of custom fiberglass work to this car.

Those hacked up quarter panel wheel openings make me sad

You can fit plenty of tire under these cars without cutting open the wheel openings, my previous car on 28" slicks:

The orignal owner was a bodyman and he was running a 15" wide slick in the rear. So he opened the quarter panels alittle to run a huge tire. He did a pretty good job with those quarter panels. Came out really nice. Everything inside is fiberglass. I think it looks better then the factory quarter panels. But those m/t drag radials 315/60/15 tires fit perfect

I'm guessing it was customized in the mid-late 1970s? Back then several cars were hacked for huge tires. Most of them were slow as hell too, didn't even need the tire

I gotta disagree that those look better than factory, mostly because the 69 has some really nice sweeping body lines that come off the top of the fender openings. They make the car look like it is in motion while sitting still. Just like the front fender openings have, so it looks strange with the back ones missing.

I'm not sure why he wanted to run a wide slick like that. I guess it was the big thing back. Having everything big - biggest tires, biggest cam, etc, etc. As far as the 1/4 times this car runs low 10's on motor. It should be running
9's by this summer thow

I love 69 Camaros. I've debated on selling my T/A for one.
