Removing overlays

Removing overlays what could i use to remove the z28 overlays to make it easier? and would the original paint on the overlay be taken off with the adhesive?

not the emblems itself just the "stickers" on top of em. they're pretty hard to get off and im worried the black paint on the emblems itself that came from the factory will come off with the glue
