Whislter HELP!!!!!!!!

Hey guys ive been a lurker on here for a long time and i gotta say its the best F body forum ive been across....I have a 2000 camaro Z28. I decided to do the whislter mod today and every thing was going good until it was paint time. I wanted to do the first light coat and the pant didn't stick and ran really really bad

i used Dupli-color paint. any body got suggestion on what to do???

You should get some sand paper and rough up the surface a bit to help it stick. I don't remember which one I used (I think 500 grit?..), but I didn't have any runs and the final product looked smooth. Just remember to apply thin coats and let them dry in between. I let mine dry over night too, before I put them back on.

i used steel wool -- i believe it was the household one

works great on the ridges

it got the job done - but it could of been better

cool thanks guys...i freaked out for a min. i used steel wool and i guess it wasn't enough. i wasn't sure if 800-600 grit would be too rough for that surface but i guess imma have to give it a try cuz it looks like crap
now...
