Default Custom tail lights

Ok, so I was reading some posts about trying to seperate the tail lights and "delete" the amber part of the light. Well I had an extra set around and decided to mess with it. I did seperate the tail light but was unable to get rid of the orange. So my friend and I painted the lights from the inside and left the reverse alone. It came out really good. I'll post some pics within the next couple of days. But you can seperate the lights and put them back together.

I posted this photoshop picture a while back

My car is in the shop and after its out that was my plan. How did you open up the tail lights? Thats the main part I am worried about, messing them up.

I just bought some taillights off ebay for this purpose. Please post up how to take them apart when you get the pictures up.

Yo Wicked, if you come up with any more ideas on how to make them clear, let me know. I'll do the same.

Oh BTW, you can get taillights off eBay for 15 a piece if you ever mess them up.

Sounds good Superchannelkev,
I tired heating them up a little and was able to open part of the edges. But I had to put the tail light back on cause the front bumper is getting repainted.

BigBlackZ28,
For sure,
Damn $15 thats hella cheap!!
