Default push button start? asr?

ok, so i did a search on this and found some good info but i was wondering if anyone had added a switch for ignition and then used the asr button to start the car. and what kind of swicth would i need to replace the asr button. any feed back would be great. thanks

get another ASR switch or Fog Light switch and throw it in that panel. The "CAMARO" panel comes out and gives you two more slots. You can take the switches apart and bend the metal tab inside of it to change it from on/off to momentary or vise versa. I used an ASR switch and turned it into an on/off switch for my amp remote wire, plus found a wire behind there that's only on when ignition is on so if I leave the switch on my amp won't drain my battery

ok so i decided to use the honda pushbutton switch out of the s2000 but i have never done anything like this before. so if anyone has a step by step for the whole install that would be great.

thats not using an asr button.

but i got that in my plate panel in my camaro

i got all the stuff needed now i just need a day off. i'm putting mine were the convertable top switches go. i'll post pics when i'm done.

All you gotta do for the starter is pull the starter relay and run 2 wires from the switched pair for the starter button. very simple.

i did this in my vr4 but used the cigarette lighter, i took it out and drilled a hole in the bottom and put a momentary switch underneath the cigarette lighter, so to start the car all you had to do was push the cigarette lighter, pretty trick
