I like the stock T/A honeycombs more. But im biased because I only like stock lights with blackouts on them or smoked.

Like, how on say a Corvette, the lights go in a little bit, they are not flush to the rest of the car. That's the main thing I don't like about the older Impala's tail lights, it looks like (and this is probably the case) the whole thing is one unit, and part of it is just painted. Very cheap. If the circular lights that were proposed in that drawing were frenched in a little (again, say Corvette style) it would look pretty cool in my opinion.

EDIT

Better yet, take the idea of the back up lights. You know how they aren't flush? Just like that. Makes it look more professional. If you (or someone) pulled that off, and I had a Formula or T/A (which god willing probably won't be too long from now), I would buy a set.

Yeah, that's waht I had in mind if I were to mod that. But then agains as I said previously, my main concern is to find a round shaped light, in the way of those I designed on the example, that would do well and fit on the light pod.

I'll check more touroughly thos on an Impala how they are done, depending of the year i think it's possible to have parted out round lamps, but not sure.

Just did a quick search over ebay just for an idea. Found something at least it has leds, and is a good 4in diameter, good size. Say, if i'd use these, as an example, I'd drill out a hole the size of this light (or a bit smaller depending waht I'd do once figured out) in the tailight cover, and place it there, either over it with the chrome out (according I could find a chrome ring without holes for screws, maybe it'd have it repainted as well to match the color taste), or under it, so the light would be encrusted in the tailight cover. I'd have it set up for the 4 lights to light up when lights are on, outter ones for markers and all 4 for brake. Pretty simple.

Maybe something like this would work too, and just figure out a way to set up a mount for it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Corve...ayphotohosting

Not sure if they are the right size for that or not.
