Default Hood is dying?

Okay, so my hood has been doing this over about 2 weeks now, there are spots all over it. The paint was faded before but now... this. Also, its the fiberglass stock WS6 hood. The only way to get rid of this is to sand it all down and repaint it?

Looks like the clear coat wasn't there anymore, so its peeling all the way down to the primer and paint. If the rest ist ok, you should try the little touch up paint....

Its kind of a bad pic, but the car had been repainted before. The clear seems to be on the hood still but its like bubbling underneath it. I can't feel anything if I touch those spots.

I wash it every other day actually, because of the dust. I also wax it about every 2 weeks in hopes of saving a little shine until I can afford to get it painted. The previous owner got one of those tijuana paint jobs and its pretty much terrible. They painted over all of the emblems and molding and then took them off, so now I have indentations where the trans am used to be on the side, etc. The hood was the only thing with factory paint on it still, and its the only part of the car this is happening to. Is that common for fiberglass?

Looks like a shitty quality from the place that did the re-paint.

only going to get worse if you don't fix it. I would sand it, prime it, and repaint it

I'm not expert but trying wetsanding it with like 2000 or 1500 grit sand paper and buffing the living hell out of it. If that doesn't work get it repainted and take better care of your paint.

I am trying to figure that out too. I had no choice but to store my car under a cover for two years outside in Arizona and my hood and roof had that when I pulled it out after.

if its threw the clear u can sand all day and it wont look the same..... never..... if you still have the clear u can try lightly wet sanding it and buffing it up... but that doesnt look like it will be a easy task at all... u probly gonna have to get it repainted

Update on mine. My headlights, my center t-top panel and my hood did this. Its the actual black paint fading. I sanded mine and it didnt help. Go get a good repaint. My hood/etc is laying in the shop waiting to go into the booth
