Painted FAST
Well here is my freshly painted FAST upper shell, just waiting for my hardware kit to come in to install it. Also a picture of my car to show why I picked these colors.

I painted it just like was suggested on a thread I read on here. I used Dupli-color adhiesion promoter, primer, gloss black, and clear coat. About 14 or so layers in all. The gold is a dupli-color GM gold touch up paint, I used the brush and applied it under the clear. I will have to clean up my engine bay a little now i suppose.

I only masked off the areas that there is still tape in the picture. Three tubes, the TB mounting area, and the threaded areas where the fuel rails mount. I did do the letters be hand without any tape, it wasn't to hard, I just had to take my time. I messed up a couple of times, i touched the shaft of the brush to the area just to the right side of the logo and had to go back a touch up with some black paint to cover it. I thought about wet sanding but decided that I am happy with it as is and would be pretty pissed if I messed up wet sanding and ruined it.
