Odd. I thought 6K was more yellow. Of course the white balance in the pic could be throwing me off.

It's not. 6K is pure white

lets see the cut off...i hear that those projector headlamps arent the right projectors for HID. if the cutoff is nice then i might do those and get HIDs rather then building custom projector headlights.

Let me tell you that the cut off is not that great. But it beats blinding on coming traffic with HIDs in the factory housings. If you have the time build a set of custom projectors.

Looks great.

Sorry to hijack here but what's the difference between the Ebay HID's and the HID's that the sponsor LED Gauges sells?

you can find REAL HIDs on ebay, but what i assume youre talking about is that they are just halogen bulbs with a tinted glass to copy HID colors. the output is nothing similar.

REAL HID required ballasts (basically amplifiers) for each bulb. the bulb itself is gas charged, not a filament bulb, so it does not emit any heat, but the gas burns at a very high kelvin (hence the 6000K).

if you want the real thing expect to pay anywhere north of $150.

Looks great! Does oncomming traffic seem to flash you the highbeams a lot now? A friend has an evo, and he gets the high beams all the time since his hid's are so bright...

I have mine aimed at a cars bumper. I found this link in the lighting section that might help.
