what color to paint coils?
whats the best way to clean the coils? can the prongs get wet or should those be covered somehow? i saw the dish soap thing, just didnt know if i could like leave them de-greasing under water in a sink?

Mine have held up pretty well. I lightly sanded them, primed them, and painted them. They still look good.
also there is no need to sand the coils at all.. get adhesion promoter if you are worried about the paint sticking.. I used adhesion promoter first, followed by plastic primer, and then paint for plastic.. notice I used stuff specifically tailored for plastic and they came out great, no clear coating needed.
