Default I need halo wiring help...

I'm trying to wire up the halo to my parking lights and I've read the threads that are already up and they are all helpful, but the headlights I bought do not have different colored wires, they are both just red. Will it hurt if I just guess which is which? If I'm wrong and hook the ground up to the juice will it short out something? Thanks for the help...

Well, it will work or it won't but it won't fry them... LED's are directional. The ground needs ground and the power needs power but reversing it won't kill it. Trial and error (touching it to the battery to save time) is your friend

However, if you get it wrong, you will most likely burn up the LEDs. I'd try it with a 9v battery first. Only touch the leads to your power source for a split second to not burn up the LEDs

That's what I was worried about, burning up the LEDs...so if i just tap the ends to a 9v battery it should tell me?

That's when you are messing around with LED's with no resistors (been there, done that). These have them built in, I've done what I'm telling him to do with no problems

Trust me Mark, I have worked with THOUSANDS of LEDs and you can blow them even with an inline resistor if you short it I've probably done 4 or 500 myself

A multimeter would tell you without risking the equipment.
