Well bud that is fine and all, it is your car and your money. I on the other hand am a student, do not have the funds to buy the proper products and materials nor the time. Besides the car looks 10x better than it used to and a simple hand wax did not get the results that I wanted.

But thank you all for the kind comments, I just get a whole new feeling everytime I look at the car.

Im with the lady.
150 for something i can do in my own garage.
With that 150 i could buy a nice buffer, Clay Bar, Wax, polish, towels etc and just do it over and over again when needed.

haha most people saying they would do it themselves obviously arent the ones with black cars ... now that being said i do mine every week and honestly i would have no problem paying that much once in a while to have it done nicely, and not waste 4-5 hours of my day

LOL ain't that the truth lol.

To the people that keep on saying "I would just do it myself by some wax and towels and blah blah"

The car was washed two times and dried, clay bar'd, the entire car was gone over with a buffer two seperate times with different products, and then hand waxed. That is alot of freaking work and not to mention 6-7 hours that I got to do hw and it came out much nicer than "just a hand wax"

^^^LOL....yeah I think some are confusing a simple wash and wax with an actual "detail" which would consist of paint correction with a machine polisher. Plus unless you already have the equipment I don't think you could do this on your own for a lot less than $150. A PC alone will run you about $120 (brand new anyway). Then you have to purchase pads and other products.

Oh and 68birdls1 make sure you wash your car carefully and properly or you'll end up back where you were before the detail in no time.
