69 Emblem question
69 Emblem question Searched for a good 2 days on this and could not find a direct anwer. I know this has been cover about as many times as "which cam should i get"so i apologize in advance. I will be rebadging my 02 when I get home. I want to go with the '69 badges on the fenders and berger panel.
Questions:
1) Which '69 badge do I want for the fenders? Fitment wise?
(I ask because i know people say the emblem comes with a slight curvaure and needs to flattened out some)
Do I want to order 2 '69 Z28...
Fender emblems?, Grille emblems? or Tail panel emblems?
2) Which '69 badge for the berger panel (mine will be flat black with body filler in the CAMARO lettering with the emblem centered just below the keyhole for the hatch)
Do I want to order 1 '69 Z28...

I ordered 2 fender emblems, then wrapped them with a shop rag, laid a block of wood over the emblem, and gave it a few blows with a rubber mallet. Smoothed them right out and everything worked great. You also need to cut the mounting tabs off the back.
I am actually taking mine off to go with laser cut stainless Z06 style emblems, so mine will be for sale. They are about 5 mo. old and have just a few tiny spots where the chrome portion is oxidized, but with a little goo gone they should clean up perfect.
I paid $63 each for them....you can have the pair for $75 shipped, assuming they come off the fender straight and in one piece. PM me if you want them!

If you buy some brand new ones be very carefull taking out the bend, I recently put some on mine and had the "Z" break away from the \28, had to buy another one. I put the Camaro script in both of the stock z28 side emblem placements, and then put z/28 in the gap of my hockey stripes, and then a z/28 on the back. I ordered mine from "that auction site" as a complete set for like $50-60 total. Good luck.
