Please no Haters...I gotta ask

Clear coats gone, not much left from the looks of it. It could look better (wet sand, polish)but never good without paint. I would sand it and do a "really good" (practice on a similar metal and surface) flat black all over, but thats just me. (10+ cans and test the different types flat, ultra flat, semi flat for personal preference. ( it hides dents well too)

Thats what I thought. Most of the upper clear coat has been withered away by mother nature. I looked at most of the past threads about buffing and wetsanding, but nothing really talked about the clear coat actually being gone...Maybe this could be my practice car for sharpening my spray skills!

Yep. No more clear coat = looks like crap no matter what. Prep it like crazy, til you want to die, then black primer. Then prep some more. Once it looks perfect in black primer, go to Maaco. Haev it painted, then wonder how you missed so many flaws when prepping!
Seriously, I liked those cars. They used to be reasonable, don't know about reliability though, or parts availability.

Those panels that have the peeling and micro checking all have to be taken down as far as you can go until its ALL gone. Other wise no matter how you paint it, it WILL peel. That car has taken a BEATING by the sun, but I would scoop it up, fix it, and possibly sell it.

Well, this little opportunity kinda fell in my lap. I am GM biased but this aint no mustang either. Pretty rare T-bird in fact. I've seen these things go down the 1/4 mile at 14-15 sec w/ little to no mods...Anyways, I was just simply getting a few opinions on the paint. Thanks fellas.
