oh yeahhhh I got my tires from tomzwheels. Great company to deal with. I think I will be happy with them seeing as everyone else is.
I started doing alot of work to the car to remove as much rust as possible under the car. It was surface but im removing it and gonna por15 the underside of the car. Ill have that done in the next few days.
There was also rust when I removed the carpet so I cut it out and grinded the metal down and por15 over it. I bought a welder that should arive somtime this week so that will be getting fixed ASAP and I can start putting this car back together.
-And to ppl putn me down cuz I drive a v6, its by choice. I can afford a v8 but CHOSE not to. With gas prices rising and no end in site. I just want to be able to drive somthing that looks bad ***. Im not gonna race it..just drive.
----Ill get pics of the car and the progress from now on. I think its supposed to rain for the next few days so it may be awhile
M5. I didn't do anything special, it was the MPG I got when my wife and I fled Houston in Sept. '05 trying to avoid hurricane Rita. 34 MPG to El Paso, 36 on the way back. Was pretty amazed myself. She followed me in her PT Cruiser and whenever she had to pull over for gas I still had just over half a tank left.
oh well. Well said, Alot of the time on here if you dont have a V8 and 10.5 inch rear wheels with 315's you might as well not drive the car. I am like you, I bought a low mileage 95' formula 6 years ago, but Have always loved the Trans am body style so I bought a T/A hatch, rear bumper, and side skirts to Make it look how I wanted. I have also been looking into doing the 98+ front end conversion to my car, and most of the replys are "why dont you just save up and buy a LS1". Answer : My ol' LT1 makes plenty of power, I am never going to race it, I just want something that looks sick as I drive back and forth to work every day. Besides compared to what I do race on the weekend(2007 Bicknell -North eastern dirt modified, 2500# race weight w/ me in it, and a 850 horsepower 467 c.i big block
) I dont care what is under the hood in my bird it wont be enough power, LOLGood luck with the car and I will be looking for some pictures of it when you post some up.
Hopefully people dont take this the wrong way, I am a f-body fan V6, V8, Firebird, Camaro dont matter
I attached a pic. of my weekend beater. The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
