shifter boot?

shifter boot? Has anyone replaced their M6 shifter boot with an aftermarket one? I'm trying to order a new, better quality leather boot, and the vendor says they have the pattern for a Firebird, but they aren't sure if it's for a 5spd (V6) or the 6spd (V8)...anyone know if they're the same pattern?

Re: shifter boot? Order a REAL leather one from Afterthoughts Auto, I had one on my Formula and it fit perfectly since it was made for the car. You simply reuse the factory plastic ring.
BTW, Firebird V6 and V8 consoles are the same.

Re: shifter boot? Nope, not done yet. Ran into complications with the front seats. Turns out the plastic bellows on the sides (for the inflatable side bolsters) are sewn onto the leather, and have to be sewn onto the new leather. The wife thinks she can get it done though. Right now, the back seat is done, and the bottom of the passenger seat is done. Driver seat and door panels are still stock. Back of the passenger seat is out, so the passenger seat looks like a footrest for the backseat.
