Carbonfiber hatch Sup guys this is my first post on this website and I have to say so far it has been very informative. Unfortunatley my brother was rear ended in my '02 z28today. 
I have been searching for a little info on a carbon hatch to replace my damaged one on my z. Does anyone know of a company that makes a quality carbon hatch for the 4th gen f-body? The only place I have located has been restoreandcustom.com for $645 shipped, I have bought carbon body panels before and this price sounds too good to be true. I am guessing it is probably poorly made and may not line up correctly, however I could be wrong. Any info on this website or any other site that sells carbon hatches whould be most appreciated, thanks!

I've seen one on ebay. It's gonna cost you a fortune to get a glass company to swap glass. I tried to get them to swap regular glass for defrost glass on my V6 and they cut out the old and never came back to replace it on the car. I just bought a whole hatch with glass and spoiler for $31 locally on ebay. The factory hatch is light as heck as it is without the glass in it. I can't imagine more than a pound or maybe two weight savings with the carbon which is probably just an overlay anyways and not full carbon.
I am looking at the CF hatch right now on ebay.
My question for you is did you consider that it might now fit the inside trim pieces and struts?
It looks like it does but who knows if it will 100% fit.
