Default Tail Light Idea

I'd like to know if these are available and if not, who could either show me how to make them or make them for me professionally for some compensation.

I did a quick edit in paint, hopefully it gets my point across. I want to make the yellow part of the tail light white.

Stock Tail Light:

Custom Tail Light:

I don't want the LT1 tail lights, I like the LS1 tail lights. And all the after market tail lights scream RICE. (sorry if you have after market tail lights)

The reason for doing this is IF I get white turn signal lights up front, I want the rear to match. And seeing how my car is Black and Silver, I think having the yellow off would make the car look sinister. BUT you never really know until you see it in person.

EDIT: Just thought I'd clarify this before I get flamed. I DO NOT HAVE SS BADGES ON MY CAR. I'm just too lazy to go out and take a picture myself.

I don't think its possible.. I like the idea and I think it would look better as white instead of orange but again I don't think you could change it.. I don't think the color on the inside of the lamps come off, but I could be wrong..

Could anyone confirm that the orange part can't come out?

Otherwise it looks like I'm going to need the number of a good custom fab shop and this could get expensive.

My guess is that the color is molded in the plastic. You might be able to take that piece out and replace it with a fabricated white lens? Sounds like a awful lot of work. I just had mine out so I could tint them, but didn't look at them to see how they were made.

FamousZ and 99zee, thank you for such quick responses. You guys rock.

I was looking at Classic Industrie's website and from what I understand, they make the licensed reproduction parts they sell. They have the tail lights for 97 to 02. Which brings me to my point. I might call them up and see if they can make me some tail lights with the white lens instead of the orange if the lens is molded in.

I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

I'll keep checking for updates, too.

I think it is molded to the inside of the light and would be very very difficult to remove.

Just got off the phone with Classic Industries and they do not manufacture that part. LAME. Haha.

Anyone know of another company that might do some custom fabrication?

EDIT:

Right now I'm thinking about calling up West Coast Customs and seeing if they would do it. I'm kind of half expecting a ridiculous charge though. The only other option I can think of is to go to a GM dealership and see if they could work some magic. Again, I'm highly doubtful. Haha.
