Lightbulb issues (Right section?)

Lightbulb issues (Right section?) I think this is the right section, it doesn't seem like "general maintenance" to me.
I have a dead sidemarker socket, so I thought. So I replace the bulb with a LED and it still didn't work... okay dead socket. I put another extra bulb I had in there and voila it works. But here in lies my problem, I have clear sidemarkers, so I have to have a red bulb in there. I have tried two bulbs, and two led bulbs, and the only one that works is the regular white bulb? Any ideas on this one?
Second problem, when changing my dome light bulb it lit up for a second, and then all of a sudden I have no power locks. The key fob doesn't work, and the buttons on the door don't work. I figure it's a fuse, and I found a 25amp fuse that was blown, but why would changing a lightbulb short out the whole system?

I would check the blubs that don't work in another socket or take a volt meter and do a test to see if voltage is even flowing through the bulbs (continuity test I believe).

Also, if you replace the turn signals with LEDs, you need to replace the flasher with an electronic flasher (ex: Tridon EL-12, $8 at AutoZone). LEDs don't draw enough current for the stock thermal flashers to work.

I wouldn't think that the sidemarkers would need a flasher though? I have tried flipping them 180 degrees, no dice there. I will try the dialectic grease, I think I have some around here somewhere, if not I will pick some up tomorrow.
