Quick Autometer pod question....
I found a link to this site RPM Outlet, through this search result
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...+autometer+pod
According to that thread, RPM Outlet sells the dual pillar pod for hardtops. Parbreak says it fits, but that was over 2 years ago. Has anyone since bought one of these and can confirm that it will work? If nobody has I will order one myself and do what is needed to make it fit.
I have come to the point where I need some gauges in my Camaro, however it is hardtop. I don't want some hacked up piece in my car, so buying a t-top unit is nearly out of the question.
Thanks guys.
the hole for the vent is definately a flaw in the design by autometer, mine looks the same way

other than that if done right you can make it look good... You should be able to install it on a hard top if you trim the top of the pod correctly... from the pics it looks like they didn't even do that...

Have a few options. First...how many gauges are you installing? 1,2,3+?
For 1-2 you can get a single or double pod and it bolts right onto the A-pillar. Looks decent. You can also add an AutoMeter gauge cup for one gauge and mount it on the steering column cover above the turn signal lever. You can mod an AutoMeter gauge trim ring and mount gauges in the vents (link here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post9168995 ) You could even mount a double and single pod to the A-pillar. Your imagination is the limit on this one

Here's a pic of my current setup.....4 gauges. Also included pics of previous setup showing the double/single pod combo on the A-pillar (hardtop car).
