don't do it.....I thought there was a thread about this awhile back where tinted t tops hold in too much heat and can actually crack because they are made of a different type of glass?

The t-tops on my IROC had a limo tint on them. It was nice because you could still see out of them but it didn't kill you from the heat in the summer time.

I've had my T-tops tinted 5% since 2002. It really keeps the cabin a lot cooler. No heat / cracking problems, either.
I would rather tint them rather than keep those stupid-*** shades on them!
But that's just me...

My vote goes for the "stupid ***" shades. They match the interior, block the sun, and if you already have them...dont cost anything.

I heard the same thing about tinting a sunroof several years ago when I wanted to do it. Made sense to me.

Ive heard a few stories about the tops cracking with tint, idk, I think I'd rock the shades. I like looking out the top at night and seeing the stars and stuff, i dunno that's just me. I couldnt imagine reverse at night with that dark *** tint! I have 15% and I gotta open the door to back up...lol. JMO's

Never had the t-top shades (don't even know what they look like). I have 20% tint on the t-tops and never, ever have issues with heat or the sun beating down on me. Can see the sky fine @ night, and I wouldn't care to have it darker or lighter really. No cracking issues what-so-ever (and I don't understand how that'd ever happen).

Got the 5%. I love it so much. I don't have to worry about the covers anymore and it looks a lot better with a dark tint. BTW right after I got the tint on I went to the bank so I could get money out and a cop pulled up to my car.....he just wanted to look at my car because he said that he liked it. But it sure did get me nervous for a second.
