That's not the mecham spoiler. That is an LT1 SS spoiler. Look again:

See the difference?

BTW, whoever's black Camaro that is, the passenger tailpipe is crooked

That is a totally different spoiler than the one from the OP.

The OP has the 1998-2002 SS 3rd brake light.

The one that you just posted (in white) has the 1993-2002 Z28 3rd brake light.

Perhaps there are two variants on this Mecham Spoiler?

I'll check on the wing availability and get back to you in a day or
two.

Regards,

Dennis Mecham"

Of course, I haven't heard back from him. According to this thread, several of us have heard this same response without ever getting an answer.

Neither one is the LT1 SS spoiler.

I think you're right, which leaves the question... which one is available now (if any)?

Oh well, doesn't matter to me, I'm decided on the 98-02 SS. Still no word from Mecham.

We ever figure put if that white one was a lt1 ss spoiler or if there were two z29 spoiler's? I want the one off the white car for mine, but I don't want it to be a crap shoot to get either.

its not an lt1 ss spoiler because its too high. so i guess that means there are 2 different mecham spoilers. the lt1 ss spoiler doesn't have as high of a lip as that one.

check out the pics

lt1 ss notice how the lip is highest in the middle and has more arc to it

mecham spoiler, notice how the lip is higher on the sides and is even in height until the very end before it reaches the fender line.

its a subtle difference but its there

heres more pics of the LED mecham spoiler

hope this helps

I remember seeing those Mecham cars, what was so special about them again? Think I saw one in a magazine once and that was it ever..

I think I will just simplify it and get the SLP 97 SS spoiler. They're still on sale until they run out of stock probably.

I'm pretty sure there ARE two different versions. That white car with the dark red stripes was either #1 or #2 made, so its parts are prototypes I think.

Unless I'm remembering wrong, this silver one is #4 or #6.

I talked to the owner of the black car posted earlier in this topic a few years ago about the spoiler on his car, and he told me that he didn't recommend it. He said the regular SS one looks better because the Mecham one is a lot longer than it looks. It is actually so long that it doesn't flow with the rear quarter panels when viewed from above.

Hope that bit of information helps. The Mecham hood is very over the top as is, so I think having a spoiler that is over the top is befitting of it, so if you still like it... go for it. If you don't like it... then don't. Personally, the Mecham part I like the most are the exhaust tips.

The Mecham single extractor hood is about the only thing I'd put on my car from them...which is why I did.
