wax!
As for ruining your paint...I am at a total loss on that one. But I guess if you read it on the internet it has to be true.....

Zaino is really no more difficult to use than any other wax/sealant product. It may be more expensive but consider that you'll get many applications of a quality product from one bottle.
Once you finish with the clay bar after washing, then you can address the remaining scratches and holograms. Our TCPC-10 kit includes an orange, white and blue Lake Country CCS 6.5" foam buffing pads. The orange then white pad is for use with either the Swirl Cutter for use on lighter blemishes of 2000+ and finer. For deeper, more stubborn scratches, I would recommend use the Menzerna Intensive Polish with the orange pad to remove scratches down to 2000 grit and finer. The Super Intensive Polish can also be used as it is faster acting than the Intensive Polish.
After you have finished buffing and polishing for this time, you can use the Swirl Cutter with the white pad to further refine and smooth the surface before applying the sealant or wax with the blue pad. The use of an orange pad and products such as Swirl Cutter or Menzerna IP/SIP is only for use "as needed" to remove these blemishes which may develop during the continuous maintenance process.
I use the blue pad to apply the non-abrasive TC-3 sealant on lighter colors for brilliant reflection and the TC-2 black liquid carnauba wax on darker colors and metallics to provide depth and color richness. The microfiber polish bonnets included in the kit can be used to buff the finish to a crystal-clear mirror like gloss.

Very cute
. And true!! I've even used the porter & cable on my T/A, b/f's Z28, ex b/f's Z6 and I really detailed the hell out of my DD...a 95 Honda...including wetsanding to get rid of the orange peel. The P&C isnt that hard to use at all. I even had to use the yellow pads for the Honda as it had bad overspray on it, Heavy oxidation and scratches. I was able to get it looking 100% better. My b/f's Z28 also had some bad scratches on the hood and spoiler that I removed with it. I used 3M products for all of those jobs and followed up with Zaino.
