They cerainly DID make teal 96 & 97 SSs...a good friend of mine bought one new back then. It was one of the first SSs around and I knew the car well....it was 100% legit and very TEAL.

My dad has a Legit Teal SS.

There are a few things (i thought) make up True SS F-body's.

1: The roof should match the body color. NOT black roof, teal body etc (Z28). like yours. (I could be wrong?)
2. All SS Camaro's have the Number plate on the center console by the shifter.
3. All SS Camaro's will have a build date with options, including SS option, on the door seal sticker.
