whistler idea mod! ok i've been thinking of doing the whistler mod for awhile but i don't want to do the traditional look! i was thinking of matching the color of my car, i have a red z28! just an idea how would it look i have a buddy that works at body shop that would paint them the same color as my car! yay or nay! i think it could look pretty good!

The new c6 headlights are color matched to its body color and they look clean. i say try it, it might look good, but you cant lose with the traditional black color people do either.

the reason people dont think they look good is because Camaro headlights are NOT integrated very well on these cars....there is a fat black rim from the rubber seal and there are gaps.....They would have to be better fitting and integrated to look good like the C6 Corvette headlights do...

Red looks like crap. I saw some guy did it on a black camaro but it just look dumb IMO.

Yeah I am the one that painted mine white. My thoughts were the same as other peoples here. Try it, if it looks like crap paint it black. My white mod seemed to look pretty decent so ive kept it. I wont stress this enough, you need to color match the paint you get with your car. Dont eye ball it. Also I went low gloss paint on mine fyi.
ok i dont think a metallic paint like SOM works, but the white looks great and i think those red halos look pretty good but not the rest of the car...i say go for it and if you dont like it paint it black...ill be watching this thread closely
