My friend really likes how i keep the t/a and it being SOM he had get right to work.
The truck hadn't been washed in over a year so i had lots of work to do. ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
First wash with meguiars gold class then clay barred the whole truck and it was nasty. It pulled out all the embedded dirt. Do a quick wash and rinse and dry. Pulled it into the garage and let the paint cool down and then start waxing. I used mothers 3 step system with an orbital to take off and meguiars quick detailer with a micro fiber towel and then did the interior and last the tires and then the rims. I think it took me up to 5 or 6 hours to do. This truck is huge and was tons of fun to and i was hurting when done. But he also paid me too.![Chug! Chug! I love this truck.![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)

Looks good. Any direct sun reflection pics?
A couple things to save you some time/money...
1) Wash with Dawn (destroyer of wax/contaminants and cheap) instead of Meguiar's Gold Class (formulated to not affect the wax and is expensive). This will save you some time when doing the clay bar step as there will be less contaminants/wax to remove.
2) No need to wash after clay bar if you are going to polish. The polish is going to remove any minute contaminants/residue left behind so that's an unnecessary step.

I came SOOOO close to buying one of these trucks...I loved the fact that it matched the car, but was worried that it wasn't up to the task I had in mind for it. SO I looked at 08 Super Duty Fords and found I could get a loaded F350 Power Stroke Crew Cab for the same price as the Avalanche. Since the only purpose of upgrading from my Lincoln Mark LT (basicaly a F150) was to get something that would tow the car better...the F350 was a no brainer! Its 2 or 3 times the truck the Avalanche is...and is 4wd (the one I was comparing it to wasnt!"
Of course now with the price of fuel...I would probably take the gas burner now. Ahhh....no I wouldnt!
