Ultimate Glass Cleaner!!!
So today I found the best glass cleaner ever. Its a homemade mix of things. Fill the bottle with water as full as you want, then add three drops of dish soap, then a little ammonia, and twice as much vinegar as ammonia. I don't know exactly how much vinegar and ammonia but use your best knowledge. It doesn't take a lot. If you get to much ammonia in it, it will turn your glass blue. After this just shake it up a little and use. I used two paper towels one to wipe and clean and one to dry the window.
I used a 20 oz. bottle fill 3/4 full of water and added about a 1/4 cut of ammonia which means a 1/2 cut of vinegar. This should be about right but just play around with it a little.
I have used Rain-X Glass Cleaner, Armoral Glass Cleaner, Windex, and a industrial cleaner and none have cleaned this well. It works very well just don't get it on the paint of your car too much...

Don't use it on tint either. ammonia+tint=bad
There is also some stuff called bonami (sp?) that you can pick up at the supermarket that works wonders. Also if you go to a glass shop and get some you will be amazed too. I had a windshield put in a car I was restoring and the stuff the guy used to clean the glass was fantastic...had to get some (don't remember the name though).

i use invisible glass by stoner, with the 2 microfiber method. first i clean with regular windex and towels. then spray with the foaming invisible glass, wipe with one MF, then quickly dry with another MF. the MFs i got at autozone, theyre cheapies specially made for cleaning glass.
another old-time method is using water with vinegar, and wiping it with newspaper.

vinegar is great, another old trick is in the winter if you dont want ice on your glass in the morning just clean it with vinegar the day before

Invisible Glass by Stoner is the best glass cleaner I have found. My wife has adopted it inside the house too, she says nothing makes a mirror look better.

Vinegar = acid. Ammonia = base. Mixing the two together in equal amounts = water + salt.
It looks like you're adding more ammonia than vinegar, so basically you're cancelling out the vinegar with most of the ammonia and the remaining ammonia is what is doing the cleaning.
Ammonia based cleaners are bad for car interiors. If you get some on your dash (acciodentally or intentionally), the ammonia will degrade the plastic, which will result in a cracked dash after repeated use.
As ppl have already said, stoner's invisible glass + newspaper (free and no lint) is the best cleaner I have ever come across.

Just because they are an acid and a base does not mean they cancel each other out. You can still smell both meaning they are both there. The only thing I know is this with paper towels does wonders on my windows.
