why are my seatbelts different?

why are my seatbelts different? so maybe im a detail freak but i am sure i am not alone on this chat board but i noticed that the passenger seatbelt on my 02 ws6 is shaped differently than my driver belt! on the male peice you know the plastic that is around it that you hold onto when you put it on. anyway i was wondering if anyone else noticed this or has any idea why that is 
Re: why are my seatbelts different? I actually noticed this the first day I sat down in my car. I have an 02 Trans Am Firehawk and it seems that the driver buckle has more plastic and the passenger buckle has less plastic and more exposed metal. Definately different connectors. Sound similar to yours?
