That is a great mod. I will pm you also, but what color/texture vinyl did you use. I may try to customize a piece for my upper dash pad.

btw you forgot to mention that a french seam would require a nice machine to do it.

it's not a regular sewing maching.

I have not looked at this thread since July. I had no idea it was still alive!!

Sorry about that.

I have limited pictures since I am out of town on business. Since there is such demand, i'll get some up-to-date ones this weekend...in good light. Here's what I have, you'll notice most of them are from before the new seats went in.

Great work, and I know how hard it is to do upholstry work. I have done many many motorcycle seats in tooling leather, and that stuff doesn't stretch one bit. The only thing I would do different is put two seams under the headlight switch. One on each side, that way you could get rid of all that extra material that is bunched up underneath it. Here is an example of tooling leather on a motorcycle seat.
