i have a red 98 and i got gloss black with red lettering and i never thought twice about that you should go with a gloss black and white lettering for sure

i have a white 4th gen too i have had mine gloss black and then tried it flat black i like the flat better the camaro letters seem to pop more.
honestly just try one or the other its very simple to take off takes seriously like 5 mintues you could even try just using a primer as a "flat black" and then us actual gloss black on half and compare them mock it up if you like gloss them finish with gloss if you like the primere then sand the gloss down and finish of priming and then with the flat black.

I'd leave it alone, not sure why so many camaro guys feel the need to do that...to me the panel just doesn't look right shape wise to be painted a different color
