Dewalt dw847

Anybody know what, if any differences really there are between the dw847 and 849? I have seen the 849 mentioned in many threads on here but never the 847? Only reason I am asking is I might be able to get a good deal on the dw847. thanks

i think the 849 has higher speeds and can accept a 9" backing plate but not sure.

I know the 847 can accept a 9" backing plate also. but does the higher speeds that the 849 has make it that much better?

would the 847 work just fine for polishing, etc.?

anybody else know anything about the difference or if it is worth it to get the 847?
